Located in the Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand, Lansdowne is just 248 Km away from the capital. If you are not driving all the way, then the easiest way to reach Lansdowne is by taking a train from Delhi to Kotdwara from where you can always hire a taxi or take the local bus.

- Bhulla Lake
A boat ride at the Bhulla Lake is one thing which should always top your itinerary while you’re at Lansdowne. This peaceful little lake which is maintained by the Indian Army (Garhwal Rifles), is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the town. Visitors are allowed to go for a boat ride in the lake which is going to offer you plenty of photo opportunities. The amusement park surrounding the lake is perfect for a day out with your kids. If you manage to reach there early in the morning then you’ll even be able to spot a few birds.
- Hawaghar and Snow View Point
If you are a hiking enthusiast then make sure to explore the numerous trek routes in and around Lansdowne. The most famous trail is going to lead you up to the Hawaghar and the Snow Viewpoint. However, monsoons are not a good time for trekking, so if you are up for some hiking and camping activities then make sure to visit Lansdowne in the summer months or in autumn.
- Tip n Top
Tip n Top which is sometimes referred to as Tiffin Top, is yet another famous tourist attraction in Lansdowne from where you can enjoy a stunning view of the setting sun. Located very close to the St. Mary’s Church, this spot is a serene chill-out zone which is a haven for nature lovers and bird watchers. Make sure to go all the way up to the view point to get some superb panoramic shots of the snow capped peaks of the Shiwalik Mountains.
